Tell us about your company.
Poseidon Expeditions, a leading polar cruise operator, has been crafting awe-inspiring voyages to the Arctic and Antarctica since 1999. Poseidon sets a high standard, boasting a strong, knowledgeable team of polar guides dedicated to providing its guests with a memorable experience.
Whether your wanderlust leads you to Greenland, Svalbard, the British Isles, Iceland, or the enchanting realms of Antarctica, Poseidon will take you to remote coves and coastal areas teeming with wildlife and photo-perfect icescapes, places the bigger ships just can’t get to.
Poseidon is passionate about “old-school expedition cruising” and advocates for the small ship concept: the Sea Spirit is a highly maneuverable vessel that provides a perfect blend of comfort and adventure for approximately 100 passengers. Poseidon’s edutainment program and friendly atmosphere ensure the guests are not only as active as they wish to be outdoors, but enjoy every single moment while aboard their spacious, accommodating ship.
In essence, Poseidon Expeditions offers not mere "tours" but authentic discoveries, ensuring each expedition is a voyage of a lifetime.
What are your unique selling points?
· With a maximum capacity of just 114 passengers, Sea Spirit typically operates with 100 guests off the ship at a time, a requirement at most landing sites. This maximizes our travelers' time ashore avoiding rotations required on larger ships.
· Over 25 years, we've honed our passion for polar cruising, cultivating a staff of expert naturalists, historians and geologists. Guests praise this top-notch team for their knowledge and professionalism, who love nothing more than sharing their experiences.
· Our expeditions feature active polar exploration with daily excursions, plus optional kayaking and Antarctic camping. Our goal is to help guests engage fully with the environment, well beyond the confines of the ship.
· As active Arctic and Antarctic advocates, we partake in projects like Happy Whale, Clean Up Svalbard and other conservation-minded projects.
· Our onboard hospitality team also consistently gets high marks from passengers, as attested to on the third-party review site TrustPilot.
